While we were stuffing our faces with our Mothers Day lunch of roast pork and brownies with double cream and ice cream, the poor cats were in hiding on our bedroom window sill. The kids tend to get over-excited and chase them, so the cats have learned to stay out of sight whenever they visit. Billy Lee is the one in front, Pixel the one at the back. Billy Lee is the boss, and so poor Pixel is always forced to take the rear (or “bum-in-face”) position. Anyway, when everyone had gone home and the cats came tip-toeing out of the bedroom, Jac gave them a little treat of roast pork.

Congrats to Clare! Check out Weekend Cat Blogging if you love cute kitties.

That is a great photo
THANK YOU!!!!
I love that photo. And my cats run and hide when children come to my home and get a little too enthusiastic. :):) Sounds like you had a great meal.
Poor darlings! I am sure they enjoyed their roast pork snack.
Poor little cats; that’s awfully cute! Very nice kitties and pic…
Heheh, clare, sher, boo_licious and Rosa, thanks for your comments. I wish the cats would just stand their ground, puff up and hiss and scratch the kids (not scratch their eyes out, maybe just on their arms) – that would freak the kids out and teach them not to chase. Oh well. It remains a fantasy for me.
Aww poor cats, how about lockin the kids in your room instead lol.
At least they got some pork though,
I had to give my doggies some roast beef yesterday cuz they wouldn’t move from the oven door so I could serve hehe .. animals.. gotta love em :)
Jenna, I trust the cats more in our room than the kids! Pixel liked the pork more than Billy Lee, I think Pixel ate three-quarters of it (she started at her bowl and moved across to finish Billy Lee’s leftovers).
im not the biggest fan of cats (im a dog person) ;) but ur cats are really really lovely, and the fact that they dont scratch is an even bigger blessing in my bks! how did you come up with their names?
Hi sangeeta,
Billy Lee is named after Billy Lee’s chinese restaurant, where Jac took me on our first date. Jac picked that name. I named Pixel. I just liked the word, and she was so cute and small, like a pixel. :)
Hi, I’m a London woman.
I came, first of all, for the photographs, but have come back regularly since for the writing.
