Tim sum at Emperor's Court

24 June 2007

So much of our time during the week is taken up with work and sleeping that by the time the weekend comes around Jac and I feel like we’ve hardly spent any time together at all. And so on Saturday morning we went out on a date. Tim sum at The Emperor’s Court (66 Lake ...

Friday night dinner

24 June 2007

For dinner on Friday night, Jac rubbed snapper filets with lemon pepper, wrapped them in alfoil and baked them in the oven. She served the fish with steamed vegies and a garlic and parsley sauce.

She also made oven baked potato wedges, seasoned with vegetable stock powder. I ate these with aioli (that’s aioli, ...

24 June 2007

On Friday, I had lunch with one of my workmates at Fantasian Noodle Bar (located at Shop 8, 29 Station St in Subiaco), on the Woolworths side of the train station. My lunching companion (I must get her to choose a pseudonym) had the Singapore fried noodles.

I had the char kway teow. ...

Thursday work food

24 June 2007

For breakfast I had a Grilled Chicken Baguette from Hungry Jack’s – just the baguette (AU$4.95), no fries or soft drink. This is currently one of my favourite breakfasts. I don’t have it all the time, but I really love it and enjoy it when I do. If you eat this, be careful to ...

24 June 2007

I’d been told the course I was attending on Wednesday morning would include morning tea, but you never know how substantial morning tea will be at these things, which is why I had that big breakfast beforehand – plus I knew I’d be heading back to the office as quickly as possible after the course ...

Tuesday night dinner with friends

24 June 2007

On Tuesday night MT and her son LT came over for dinner. We had chicken burgers (Jac made the chicken burger patties with chicken mince and a selection finely chopped vegetables), and as LT is vegetarian Jac made vegie patties too, using Sanitarium brand Rediburger.

Here’s the platter of chicken and vegie burger patties, ...

Tuesday Work Food – bad luck day

24 June 2007

A couple of little mishaps occurred on Tuesday. First, I stacked it on the escalator at the train station. I have no idea what happened. I was just walking up the escalator – I quite often walk up the escalator as a form of minimal sweat, low effort exercise – and then suddenly something tripped ...

Monday work food – guilty!

24 June 2007

This is the first of what should be multiple posts today. I’m having a hard time writing today – just don’t feel like it, to be honest. Mondayitis usually starts for me late Sunday afternoon, but today I woke up with it.
Last Monday’s lunch: KFC Original Recipe Two Piece Feed – two ...

Ham steak and eggs win!

17 June 2007

This morning Jac made me a bowl of porridge. The oats kind of porridge. She’d bought some Uncle Toby’s Instant Oats to use in a recipe (I don’t know what recipe) but didn’t end up making that recipe and now we have a box of porridge oats to use up. This was a purely ...
