Trio of noodles

28 July 2007

Welcome to this week! On Wednesday, my boss, workmate Chad and I had noodles from Han’s for lunch. Both my boss and Chad asked if I’d like to photograph their lunches! That’s pretty cool, eh?

My boss had the seafood stir fried fresh noodle (AU$8.95), which were udon-style fat noodles with seafood and vegies.

Chad ...

Fighting sickness

28 July 2007

Friday night last week. We’d bought ingredients earlier in the week according to Juji’s written instructions, and then on Friday night Juji and Jay came over and made dinner – chicken thighs, sliced chorizo, potatoes, tinned chickpeas and tinned tomatoes bunged in a tray and seasoned and then baked in the oven. I just wish ...

Dinners

28 July 2007

Rewind the clock back to last week again…

Last Monday’s dinner – a breakfasty meal of beefy sausages, fried eggs and baked beans.

Tuesday, a turkey steak, salad and a buttered slice of wholemeal bread.

Wednesday, Jac rang me at work and said she felt like Chinese food. Although I didn’t think she’d really eat any ...

Monday last week, 16th of July. My workmate Chad and I had a sandwich/bread roll from MYO. This was Chad’s sandwich. She is very good at making sandwiches that are loaded with fillings yet look neat and tidy as well as delicious. Her desk is much neater ...

14 July 2007

Individual pavlovas, topped with real cream, kiwi fruit and ...

Last night, my sister Juji and her boyfriend Jay came over. We planned to grab some dinner and then J, J and I wanted to go to the cinema to catch Pirates of the Caribbean 3 – At World’s End, we’d been hoping to see that movie before its run ended. When J and ...

A birthday afternoon tea at work

14 July 2007

It was Chad’s birthday on Wednesday, and she brought in a box of goodies from Jean Claude Patisserie for the team to share.

The delicious anticipation created by the sight of this box was immense! Chad said I could take photos of the goodies within before the hungry hoards (well, not exactly hoards!) arrived. ...

Another couple of dinners

14 July 2007

Tuesday: Jac made a fish pie, which she baked in the oven topped with sliced potatoes.

She served the fish pie with steamed carrot, cauliflower and corn. The chunks of fish were cooked in a creamy sauce with peas. Yummy.

Wednesday: chicken schnitzel and chips. The schnitzel came from Lenards, and the chips were oven ...

Work lunches

14 July 2007

I’ve been feeling really guilty because one of my friends was in town this week and I told her I couldn’t meet her for lunch. It’s really been a shocking week at work – I won’t – and seriously, can’t – go into details about why, but it was the sort of week during which ...
