I don’t have time on week days to have breakfast at a cafe before work… maybe one weekend I’ll have to venture to Subi just for that! The char kway teow is rather tasty. I’ll miss it when they close the Pavilion at the end of the year.

i want to learn how to make these dishes! i can see the ingredients, and can always look up google or whatever for sauce and variations and things like that (some food has such interesting history, i never really thought about that untill i started reading food blogs and going through wiki and google to read about some dishes. it’s a helluva insight into some cultures, and how food is influenced by moves, and shifts in circumstances/agriculture/politics/culture merges) but finding even things like noodles up here is frustrating.

Toraya is next to Woolworths, which is next to the Subiaco train station. I believe their actual address is Shop 8, Subiaco Square, 29 Station Street. It’s where the Fantasian Noodle Bar used to be.
