We splurged recently (more a splurge diet*-wise than money-wise!) and had pizza home delivery from Domino’s for dinner. As usual, we got one of the two large pizza deals and chose a pizza each.
My choice was The Russian on Thin ‘n’ Crispy crust. I’m not sure what is supposed to be so Russian about this pizza, but it’s tasty – in addition to the usual tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, it’s topped with pepperoni, capsicum, onion, mushroom, shredded cotto, fresh tomato slices, fresh garlic and oregano. The fresh tomato, garlic and oregano are my favourite items on this pizza. I love fresh garlic on pizza.
Jac chose the 7 Meats Pizza – the meats are: pepperoni, beef, bacon, ham, Italian sausage, Don smoked bacon and shredded cotto. This pizza has barbecue sauce on it, and Jac ordered it on Classic Crust.
I must agree – I know it’s nothing amazing that we couldn’t make ourselves with a bit of French loaf, butter, garlic, herbs, cheese and the oven/grill – but the cheese layer adds extra chewiness and a delicious savoury flavour to the bread, which is crusty on the edges but soft in the middle. For me, it’s a sheer pleasure to eat, for its taste as well as textures.
Jac’s also partial to the mild Chicken Kickers, which come in a 5-or 10-pack with creamy ranch dressing for dipping. We usually get a 10-pack as 5 is just not enough. I don’t need the dip – I just enjoy the spicy Kicker flavour on its own.
Jac also likes the Caesar salad, which is made with real cos lettuce, shaved parmesan, croutons and bacon. On this occasion, we were a little perplexed as the dressing that came with the Caesar salad was cracked pepper and lemon dressing – obviously NOT caesar salad dressing. Apart from that, the salad would’ve been perfect.
That 7 Meats pizza was really REALLY meaty! I loved it. The Italian sausage – we know this particular pink sausage as Cabanossi – was my favourite of all the toppings.
*Diet as in “what we eat”, as opposed to “being on a diet”, which we aren’t (as should be blatantly obvious from this post)! :)

MY MY MY!!! 7 meats!!! That’s amazingly appealing to the carnivore in me. >SLURP
I hope there were leftovers…
pizza and sides, nothing can compare with that. looks fantastic =D
mmm yummy! if you really feel like splurging on pizza in perth though, you really need to make a trip to mundaring to little caesers pizzeria- its really worth the drive, their dessert pizza is to die for! i would love to see you do a post on them!
lol 2 pizzas, cheesy bread, chicken nuggets, and hey while were at it throw in a salad! that is ALOT from dominos. (for 2 little girls)
ok i just went to our dominos online order system and typed in everything yall got… i had to substitute the salad for cinnamon bread sticks since ours dont offer salads…and ours offers cheesy breadsticks rather than cheesy garlic bread! Nonetheless it all came out to a grand total with delivery charge: 52.61!!!
HOLY HELL my friend thats alot of food.
good thing pizza can be eaten for any meal of the day! i guess were gonna see pizza bentos next week ^_^
Oh gosh! I can’t peel my eyes off the 7 meats pizza! That’s sooo sinfully-yummy!! Why don’t we have that here :( :( :(
OMG, that pizza looks delish! In the US, Dominos is the cheap, nasty pizza. If it tasted as good as it looks, I wish we had Australian Dominos here!
And are you sure you and Jac had enough food? I have a feeling leftover pizza might be showing up in a bento or two this week.
tunadip,
Before 7 Meats, Jac’s favourite was Meatlovers or the Meatball Monster – 7 Meats was a logical progession, really! :)
Zaw,
There sure were! We’re big eaters, but not THAT big! :)
Kagenosuke,
Oh yeah, we like to order a complete meal. Pizza on its own is just not satisfying enough.
ilovefood,
I’ve heard of that place, but have never been. The problem is, when we’re in the mood for pizza, we’re not in the mood to get dressed to go anywhere, let alone take a drive to Mundaring! LOL
jetgirl,
LOL, yes, it was a lot of food. We used a coupon deal for the pizzas so got it a bit cheaper. We did have leftovers that stretched for a couple more feeds, so it was very good value.
Peky,
I’d thought 7 Meats would be too way over the top, but I really enjoyed it. I may try to deny my carnivorous tendencies, but they are well and truly a part of me.
Lisa,
We ate the leftovers for another meal and for work lunches. I didn’t pack a bento though (the next post will reveal what I did). :)
Domino’s pizza is one of my favourite junky meals. Complete with the cheesy garlic bread! I’ll make a point to order the 7 meats one next time round…it sounds perfectly junky and tasty.
ilovefood is right, the BEST pizza in the world is at Little Caesars. The owner there is so lovely and down to earth, and the pizza is to die for. They use only the best ingredients, and the dessert pizzas have won international awards.
i live in Willetton, and its a 30 minute trip but worth it.
there’s actually some really great food places around there – the Loose Box which i’ve never been to but heard a lot about, and Alfreds, which is the burger stop in Guildford that is awesome!
First up! I love your blog! I read it ALL the time and i’m usually starving when I do!
What is shredded cotto? I asked what it was when I was on the phone ordering Dominoes and the young lad who spoke to me had no idea and said it was some ham type stuff!
haha!
This post made me hungry for kickers though. Yum!!
wow..the domino’s pizza there looks really good…lots of variety…unlike the ones back here in malaysia :( … reading your blog just makes me want to go to australia for the food there XD
dea,
We love its over-the-top salty meatiness – but it’s definitely not something anyone should eat too regularly! :)
xanderah,
We’ve heard of Alfred’s and have driven past a number of times – but our timing’s always bad – it’s either not open or it’s just not eating time! I mentioned Caesar’s to Jac and she’s keen to give it a try sometime, so hopefully there’ll be a post about it in the future.
Just Me,
Thanks, glad you like it. Yep – some sort of ham stuff is how I describe it. I love kickers – anything nuggety/chicken tendery is good.
llen,
Yep, we’re pretty lucky to have such a range to choose from. Oh well, if you ever come to Australia for a visit, you know you’ll have plenty of great food to eat.
Love your site. Have family in Brisbane – I’ll have to ask them about the food you mention here. Oh, and your pictures of the 7-meat pizza and the cheesy garlic bread were next to a sponsored ad (Amazon) for “Eat This, Not That.” Hehehe.
