I bought this lemon crumble muffin one morning on my way to work. It was very nice – in muffin itself there were streaks of tangy lemon curd, and there was sweet crumble peeping through the top of the muffin. But don’t you think the lumps of crumble make the muffin look kind of diseased? If you didn’t know what “crumble” was (e.g. in the context of apple crumble), I don’t know if you’d want to buy a lumpy muffin like this… :-P

Oh my gosh, that looks so good. I was hoping Jak had made it so that you could share a recipe. Oh well. The crumble is not disease! :D it’s intense flavour bursts!
Mmmmm lumpy muffin disease.
That horizontal dark line kind of looks like a mouth, which makes the crumble look like shaving cream around the mouth, and you can make out at least one eye. It’s the [diseased] muffin man! (before he’s woken up properly)

I like muffins that look diseased like this. Somehow, the texture makes it more interesting and tasty to eat.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a lemon crumble muffin (although I see apple crumble muffins everywhere) – where did you find it? It looks tasty!

I’d take the crumble as simply part of the muffin; have seen others like it. That does look delicious. :-)
Others I particularly enjoy are orange, and almond poppyseed. :-D And of course double chocolate (loaded with melty chocolate chips).
Man, I would be all over that muffin in a hot minute. Anything “crumble” rocks my world and lemon curd is the best evah. You can make a good quick dessert parfait by layering crunch, cream, and fruit: fresh fruit or berries, smashed-up cookies, and whipped cream with a bit of lemon curd folded in. It’s truly divine…
Crumble muffins are increasing in popularity in the UK. The crumble tends to be a bizzare breadcrumb buttery sugary mix with a slight tang of what every the flavour is supposed to be.
Then again, having disputed the crumblyness of muffins, my confectionary turns out brick-like x_X
In a way it does look like cauliflower grew out of the muffin..LOLx. But I would buy this anytime coz it definitely looks more delicious & tempting than the smooth looking muffin :D

I’ve never liked poppyseed, mainly because I always end up with poppyseeds in my teeth! But I also don’t care for their flavour that much, in sweet or savoury dishes. I don’t eat a lot of chocolate, but a good chocolatey muffin is great.

LOL cauliflower muffin, eww! It was very nice. The streaks of gooey tangy lemon curd inside the muffin were beautiful (even if the muffin wasn’t!)
