wyn,
LOL. Bursts is the word!

Conor,
Funny thing is, I can really see the muffin man now that you've said that!

Sarah,
It was!

blur ting,
It was really good, despite the lumpiness. I enjoyed it.

jetgirl,
Yes, curd is that sort of word, isn't it?
LOL at post-its reference.

daphne,
It was nice for a change - I get bored with blueberry or raspberry or apple, because you can get those just about anywhere. And I love citrus flavours.

Lauren,
Simply Delicious, at Curtin University Campus in Bentley.

Fiona,
:)

Cindy,
I've never liked poppyseed, mainly because I always end up with poppyseeds in my teeth! But I also don't care for their flavour that much, in sweet or savoury dishes. I don't eat a lot of chocolate, but a good chocolatey muffin is great.

deborah,
Your quick dessert parfait sounds good. Yum!

Khloe,
Interesting, I didn't know they were becoming the "in-thing" in muffinry! (yes, I made up that word)

Peky,
LOL cauliflower muffin, eww! It was very nice. The streaks of gooey tangy lemon curd inside the muffin were beautiful (even if the muffin wasn't!)

Crumble muffins are increasing in popularity in the UK. The crumble tends to be a bizzare breadcrumb buttery sugary mix with a slight tang of what every the flavour is supposed to be.
Then again, having disputed the crumblyness of muffins, my confectionary turns out brick-like x_X

Man, I would be all over that muffin in a hot minute. Anything "crumble" rocks my world and lemon curd is the best evah. You can make a good quick dessert parfait by layering crunch, cream, and fruit: fresh fruit or berries, smashed-up cookies, and whipped cream with a bit of lemon curd folded in. It's truly divine...

I'd take the crumble as simply part of the muffin; have seen others like it. That does look delicious. :-)

Others I particularly enjoy are orange, and almond poppyseed. :-D And of course double chocolate (loaded with melty chocolate chips).

I don't think I've ever heard of a lemon crumble muffin (although I see apple crumble muffins everywhere) - where did you find it? It looks tasty!

I like muffins that look diseased like this. Somehow, the texture makes it more interesting and tasty to eat.
