Chicken and salad bento lunches for two

As I put away the leftovers from our family dinner I packed the next day’s lunch for Jac and me. There were three chicken skewers left; I pulled the meat off the skewers and divided it between two lunch boxes. I added lettuce, cherry tomatoes, sundried tomatoes, sliced sweet gherkin pickles, tasty cheese and asparagus. Jac got something extra in her lunch box…

On a Wednesday night a few weeks ago, Jac went out to dinner with her hockey team mates. Since I knew I’d be too lazy to cook dinner for myself, I stopped by Noodlebox on my way home and picked up a regular (big) box of Design Your Own noodles.

Grilled snapper fillets, microwaved-steamed potatoes and salad (lettuce, cucumber, grape tomatoes, corn). The parsley garnish was immediately removed and placed on Jac’s plate after I photographed my dinner. :-P

Pizza leftovers for lunch (with garlic bread too!)

A fantastic lunch I ate at work! Leftover pizza, homemade by Brad and Kelsie in their new pizza oven. Jac had been to their house for dinner the night before – I had some work to do and chose to stay home. When Jac came home, she carried with a plate of leftover pizza! So this is my lunch plate at work the next day.

Jac bought a barbecue chicken from Woolworths, the kind that comes seasoned in the bag and ready to cook in the microwave or conventional oven. I was pleased to discover it came with stuffing too!

Sunday breakfast on our patio! We never had a patio at the old house. Well, we planned to build one but never got around to it (when we sold the house, it was still patio-less). Pixel sat on the bench next to Jac, sniffing intently, eyeing the bacon scraps on Jac’s plate…
