Jac panfried chicken thighs seasoned with salt and pepper so I could use them for bento. I packed us some bread and butter, leftover potato salad, and made a quick salad of cos lettuce, carrot, cucumber, snow peas and pickles.
You know, it’s quite hard thinking of what to write / draw on the notes sometimes. Especially as I know it’s not just Jac who’ll see them! :-P

Your notes are always so cute! That potato salad looks yummy! Do you have a recipe?
Awwww, how sweet. I missed your bentos!
i love the note…i always do it for B when ever i make something for him :)
and the food looks delicious!!
Colorful and yummy! I was hoping you’d do bento again soon. Love that note!
Last month while shopping in El Paso, Texas with my sister in law (she lives there), I was shocked to hear a man behind me say “bento boxes.” :-O Though he and I are of different ethnicities and bento isn’t native to either of us, I was stunned to hear him say “bento boxes” to someone on his mobile phone. Had to explain it to my sis in law and of course mentioned you TFP. :-)
I’d seek out a bento box of my own and prepare my lunch, but as I work at home that seems a bit pointless…
looks like a yummy lunch! I love your notes, and totally know what you mean about having to be careful what you write / draw. It sucks, but you guys seem to do a great job at it and they’re so cute; the perfect complement to a tasty meal. :-)
thanks so much for the yummy ideas and great info. super cute notes too ;)
