Brunch at Canning Vale

in Eating out
We went to Canning Vale Markets recently and enjoyed a spot of brunch at the Market City Cafe.
I had a small asian combination (AU$7.50), of fried rice, thai green curry chicken and stir-fried chicken noodles. This was great! The curry was especially tasty – lots of chicken, all succulent thigh pieces.

Jac ordered “Don’s special omelette” (AU$8.90), which was filled with ham, cheese and spring onions, and served with (barely) buttered toast. The omelette was really tasty and filling – Jac didn’t need the toast at all!

Mmm Sounds delish! I love green curry, and there are few things as comforting to start a day as a nice full fluffy omelet! I hope you guys enjoyed. :-)
Its been a long time since I stopped by! I have so much catching up to do!
I just wanted to say I used to work in the Canning Vale Markets complex and I miss the food hall sometimes!
Oh TFP, one must always have buttered toast with an omelette. ;-) With a bit of jam.
I’m wondering where the potatoes are to go with!
Both look delish! I love fried rice
Never been an omelette girl – it REALLY has to be full of flavours to get rid of that eggy taste
Ooh fried rice and green curry is a great combo. This eatery near my current place does a pretty good seafood (prawns and squid) fried rice served with a bowl of green curry chicken for about SG$4. I just found it and I’m glad I did!
Mmm I love the colours you get in fried rice – something about the golden yellow of the eggs, the bright green of the peas, the sweet pinkness of the ham against the pale rice thats just so appetising looking ! The omelette looks good too – but a *q* for Fiona – if you dislike the taste of eggs, why eat omelettes ? :) that’s the best part, IMO =)
