I met Jac at the shops after work. We had a couple of bills to pay and I needed to buy vitamins. After we’d done those tasks, just as I was about to say “I’m really tired. Could we just get some dinner and go home?” Jac looked at me and said “Do you mind if we just grab some takeaway dinner and go home? I’m too tired to do the grocery shopping tonight.” Great minds think alike, or in this case, tired minds! :D
She also bought a seaweed salad. She should get together with my workmates, who are all big Japanese seaweed salad fans.
I got my favourite Sumo Salad salad – it’s one of their Express Salads – the roast chicken penne salad, with spring onions, semi sun-dried tomatoes and an oil and lemon dressing. It’s very tasty. It can be served hot or cold. I like it either way.

I’d have to go with the chicken penne salad; looks scrumptious!
Sushi: I’ve had it a handful of times. Good in its own way, but for some reason I can’t get past the notion that it’s an appetizer…not a meal. :-\
Takeaway is the best when you’re tired and hungry. By the way, do you know what’s the yellow sushi next to the egg?
oooh umm! Sushi is one of my all time favourite meals!!
I don’t think I rate Sumo Salad. I’ve had it a few times and always been SO disappointed – perhaps it’s the narky attitude of the staff that gets to me, but really, I just wish there was a truly good-value-for-money healthy salad option in a foodcourt. When will Australia catch up with the times and have gourmet salad/hot bars in supermarkets? Probably never, because people are too afraid of potential cross-contamination and food poisoning :( I just want to be able to get a salad that isn’t covered in dressing and insanely expensive.
/end rant. Hehe. Sorry :P Sushi looks fabbo though… I think I’m having Nagano for dinner tonight!
