A feed of pizza home delivery with extra bits. Well actually, it goes further than a single feed…
We like this a lot more than the original garlic bread. I guess it’s the magic of cheese – it’s just a lot tastier than the ordinary garlic bread.
Domino’s chicken carbonara. It’s very creamy! You can buy it in an edible puff pastry bowl or in a carton now. When I opened the carton, I thought it looked and smelled great. Alas – once we got about a third of the way down the carton it became obvious that the bacon, mushroom and chicken were all at the top – the rest of the content was mostly pasta and creamy sauce.
Jac likes the caesar salad – the fresh cos lettuce helps break down the richness of the pizza, I suppose (though if you eat the bacon and parmesan in the salad that’ll add to the richness of the meal).
Jac chose a pizza we hadn’t tried before – the garlic prawn pizza, with spinach, fresh tomato (cut into little juicy cubes) and creamy Alfredo sauce.
Before I saw it, I wasn’t sure if I’d like the prawn pizza – I’ve had prawns on pizza before and it was always disappointing – pathetic tiny chewy tinned prawns. But these prawns, although small, were close to bursty. I was surprised and impressed.

God, you eat the most scrumptious looking food. I’m sorry if this is rude but how do you guys stay healthy, in shape treating yourself to all this?
You got more prawns than us the last time we ordered Domino’s – we got a grand total of four prawns on our entire pizza (I think it was garlic prawn or something?) Wasn’t impressed!
oh wow that garlic prawn pizza looks absolutely delish! i SO wish we had something like tht here in singapore!
I looove cheesy garlic bread! It all looks very yummy. It’s sort of funny how pizza has evolved: As a kid in the late ’70s and early ’80s, we could never have imagined toppings like prawns (“shrimp” here), alfredo sauce, bbq sauce, spinach. As a teen, ham and *pineapple* were exotic pizza toppings! :-p As for the crust, I love ‘em all. Is there an “Uno” restaurant in your area? I doubt it; it’s a Chicago-based pizzeria (with a full menu of other stuff) which makes the MOST fantastic mouth-watering deep-dish pizza. The crust is just the right combo of crunchy-crumbly-chewy. I could eat a plate of that alone! ;-)
tfp! i was fantasising (how crude!) abt that prawn pizza all day at work! ive never had prawn pizza before and was just dying to try some, from somewhere. so after work this evening, a friend and i were looking for some place to have a late dinner when we saw this RANDOM pizza place. so we went in and sat down and i was saying, “man, i want to try some pra…” and on the menu was the most delicious looking prawn pizza! so we got some. and it was amazing.
truly!
I’m amazed to see your Domino’s pizza look so good. My parents in Malaysia love Domino’s and they love thin crust pizza, but they NEVER look as good as yours! In fact, theirs look very unappetising, to put it kindly.
Your killing me over here!!!! Makes me wonna reach into my screen and just grab a slice :p~ (that, is my drool face)
I’ve tried the Domino’s Beef Neapolitana in a pastry bowl before. Not too bad. Pretty simple recipe you could do from home sadly.
I’m interested to see you try out those new oven baked sandwiches from Domino’s. The ads are mouthwatering hehe.
Do you get the extra topping pizza (the one where the topping comes to the edges) or is this a normal off the menu pizza? Last time I ordered from Domino’s the pizza was basically a based covered in tomato with a bit of topping in the centre.
Hehehe, glad you guys enjoyed these photos.
susy,
We eat a balanced diet that includes “healthy” meals and not so healthy meals. We eat good homecooked meals and junky takeaway meals. We do our best to get regular exercise. Jac plays sport; I walk a lot. Keep in mind I don’t post every single meal I eat – quite often the healthier meals simply aren’t as food porny, so their photos never make it to the blog.
Katie,
Maybe we were just lucky. I was quite impressed with how many prawns we got on our pizza.
Cindy,
Nope – no Uno here. After seeing it on Top Chef and on The Amazing Race, I would love to try Chicago-style deep dish pizza someday.
sangeeta,
It’s ok, I’m often preoccupied with thoughts of food. :-P So glad to hear you got some great prawn pizza!
Cycads,
We’ve been pretty lucky. Most of the time our Dominos pizzas have quite a generous amount of topping on them. I always love thin and crispy crust. Jac is still a classic crust gal.
Serena,
Wouldn’t it be great if we could do that?! OMG I’d have to ban myself visiting food blogs if that were the case – it would be non-stop indulgence.
Tamz,
Not sure if we will try those new sandwiches. I told Jac about them (seeing as she’s the sandwich lover out of the two of us) but she didn’t seem that keen.
Jim,
Nope, we never order extra toppings to the edge. This was a normal off the menu pizza. More and more from what people are saying I think we were very lucky to get what we got.
That’s so funny, I had Domino’s cheesy bread on Friday too…across the world in Canada.
Dang it’s delicious.
that is some really wonderful looking pizza!!
