Scrambled eggs on toast

in Cats, Home cooking

A Sunday breakfast of a few weeks ago: I scrambled the eggs, Jac toasted the bread. I like it when Jac cooks but I love it even more when we cook together. And what’s great is our new kitchen is bigger and has a better layout than the old one, so it’s easier for us to both be in the kitchen at the same time. :D

A little cracked black pepper and salt just before serving – perfect!

First Pixel sat on the bench and stared.

My response was not satisfactory (all I did was photograph her :)), so she jumped up on the bench next to Jac and poked her face onto Jac’s plate. See her eyes? They say “WANT”.

Hope you guys are having or have had a lovely Christmas. Thanks for all your Christmas wishes, and yes, there will be Christmas food posts in the near future.

Don't miss an update!

I love eggs, and your scrambled looks awesome; just the right amount of wet/dry it seems. Is that a bit of cheese mixed in? No wonder Pixel can’t resist! ;-)

Glad to know your new kitchen is roomier and you can more easily prepare meals together.

I just now recalled a delicious egg dish I tried in Safford, Arizona last spring: Gently scrambled, with thumb-sized knobs of soft cream cheese marbled in after. Over this was sprinkled chopped green onion. It was called a “California Breezin’ Scramble” and oh-so good, served with buttery toast. :-)

I LOVE the look on Pixel’s face, I don’t think her eyes could have fixated any harder on those eggs! :D
