This is a great little snack when I’m feeling a peckish and craving a little something savoury. What’s your favourite little savoury snack? Also: thoughts about egg and soy sauce.
Restaurant review – unfortunately, the most memorable aspects of our meal were negative: the inedible garlic bread rusks we were served; the steak placed on chips; how we almost didn’t even eat at Portorosa. But I did enjoy my garlic prawns.
Restaurant review – Mexican food for breakfast? Hash brown potatoes with chorizo and scrambled egg! Bacon and egg with melted cheese in crispy toasted tortilla! Yes, please!
Jac made ANZAC biscuits recently and they were great! In this post: background information on ANZAC biscuits, Alton Brown Good Eats video and an ANZAC biscuits recipe. Do you prefer crispy, puffy or chewy cookies?
Restaurant review – workmate J and I tried the AU$9.90 lunch specials. I enjoyed my salt and pepper squid very much, but was quite taken with workmate J’s BLT. In fact, I freely admit to ogling that bacon.
Jac made us burgers for a recent Saturday lunch. They were pretty simple, but really delicious. A juicy chicken filet burger for me and a marinated steak burger for Jac.
I woke up on this particular Saturday morning to the smell of bacon frying. Jac cooked us pancakes and bacon for breakfast, which we ate with lashings of maple syrup. What’s your idea of the perfect way to wake up on a weekend?
All restaurant write-ups are based on my personal opinions and experiences. We pay for all meals ourselves unless noted otherwise. I am not a restaurant critic.
