3 June 2010 – debrief – Twin Cities FM Perth 89.7
I was interviewed recently for radio station Twin Cities FM Perth 89.7.

The interview introduction:

Created by an anonymous Perth based epicurean, TFP is the hippest foodie blog of the minute. Jenna Clarke chatted to her about fast food, the best places to grab a bite around our city and food wars involving SPAM…

Listen (3 options)

The editing probably makes it sound like I talked non-stop! I’m not a food-crazed maniac, honest! :D

french toast squares!gate. :D

and, random, but i’ve always wanted to know how to pronounce subiaco.

and, yes, i see what you mean about the editing – it makes you seem like some crazy, food-obsessed woman (in the best possible way, obviously..!). i think it probably has something to do with the fact that they’ve edited out most of the questions and prompts.

nice interview, though! :)

I think it was a nice quick interview, that barely touched the surface of who you are. There is much more to you than a three minute blurb! You are certainly not crazy! Nice to hear your voice! What people love about you is that you are a real person who savors your food. Just like normal people do. Who wouldn’t love a fellow stealth bowl licker!

When does the Reality TV show begin? ;-) I’m sure Pixel and Billy Lee are MORE than ready for the limelight and red carpet!

Second to Craig and Charlene! Where was the bacon?! Haha ;) I really liked hearing your voice. I love your accent :P

I didn’t see that comment with the french toast and spam lady! Although I would definitely have jumped in and defended you, too. :)

jessi,
Cool, glad a mystery was solved! We also call it “Subi” (soo-bee).
Yes, I think I sound rather manic. :P

Craig,
Actually, I did talk about bacon, but not all the interview was included in the final cut. There was a question about what food I liked, and my answer involved bacon, pancakes and maple syrup, and lotus root soup among other things. :)

Glad you enjoyed it, kathy. Yes, stealth bowl lickers unite!

Charlene, see my reply to Craig above. :)

Cindy,
Heh. The cats may be ready, but I don’t think I am (and Jac definitely is not)!

Wei-Wei,
See response to Craig above. :P You know there are other interviews to listen to at my media page, right? :D
For the SPAM and french toast incident, see these two posts:

laundrydays,
Hahaha, cool! Well, it was really just more of the same sort of thing – me talking about food and eating. Nothing groundbreaking! :P
