Weekend at the Hyatt – summary

We had a lovely time away last weekend. We stayed for two nights at the Hyatt Regency Perth. It’s just so nice to be away from all the mundane chores like grocery shopping and doing the laundry and dishes. We were booked in for two nights under the Awaken package, which included breakfast each morning, either in the hotel’s restaurant or via room service. Of course, we planned to have room service breakfast one morning, and breakfast in the restaurant for the next.

The food we ate was delicious, but overall, our experience of the Hyatt Regency Perth was disappointing. The reasons for this will be discussed over the next three posts.
I’d like to preface this by saying that the posts are an honest description of our experience; I am not in any way suggesting that this will be the experience of anyone else who stays at the hotel. I don’t particularly enjoy writing negative posts about businesses, but I could not write honestly about our weekend away and omit those details.

Part 1 – Saturday night: dinner at Chanterelle at Jessica’s
Part 2 – Sunday: room service breakfast, room service dinner
Part 3 – Monday morning: buffet breakfast

*EDIT – see my concluding post on this issue – Update on the Hyatt.
