Another chicken schnitzel burger
Posted @ 8:35 pm under Burgers, Lunch bar, Savoury, Takeaway, Work foodA work lunch, chicken schnitzel burger from 88 Royal lunch bar (88a Royal St, East Perth). A deep-fried crispy chicken schnitzel, lettuce and mayonnaise in a bun. The burger is wrapped in paper and put in a paper bag that smells wonderful and feels toasty warm in my hands as I walk back to the office.
Although the crumbed coating is really crispy, the chicken on the inside is moist and tender. Combined with the fresh lettuce, sweet mayo and buttered warm chewy bun, it’s pleasure in every bite. Even a couple of my workmates go “Ooh, aah”.

Oh gosh, that looks perfect. The chicken looks super crispy and and the bread looks super soft. Love the way some of the mayo has soaked into the chicken coating, too. Lovely post. :D

Mmm… this sandwich looks sooo tasty, althought I might have gotten a slice of tomato too.
I totally know what you mean by the warm sandwich in a paper bag feeling!

Cindy,
Oh yeah! I must have these fairly regularly, they are so enjoyable.
Cookie,
Agreed!
Bryan,
I could eat fried chicken for dinner at least once a week. I don’t though, which is probably a good thing.
clekitty,
Me, a tease? Nooo! LOL.
Katie,
Yes – a couple of slices of fresh tomato would be good. And some pepper and salt on the tomato, mmmm.
missfattyfoodie,
Great! Hope you like it.
Erica,
Oh yes, it was just a perfect combination of textures and tastes. I want one right now!
Megan,
Yeah… carrying that warm bag and feeling it in my hands or against my cheek is part of the pleasure. :D
