Deep-fried prawn dumplings with mayonnaise

Restaurant review. Bland pork and prawn steamed dumplings, delicious chicken rice porridge. Service was pushy yet inattentive. We won’t return for dim sum, but will be back for porridge.

Restaurant review – Big Bowl Noodle House offers relaxed, no-frills casual dining that reminded me of being in a food hall. If you love noodles, it’s definitely worth checking out. I really thought the pork and prawn wantan were awesome!

Restaurant review – on my last day in Sunday, I had dim sum with my sister and brother-in-law at Fisherman’s Wharf Seafood Restaurant in Pyrmont. We all got to eat our must-have dim sum items: char siu pow, siew mai and egg tart and really enjoyed our breakfast. I’d happily eat there again.

Brunch at Canning Vale

Small asian combination - fried rice, green chicken curry and noodles

We went to Canning Vale Markets recently and enjoyed a spot of brunch at the Market City Cafe.

I had a small asian combination (AU$7.50), of fried rice, thai green curry chicken and stir-fried chicken noodles. This was great! The curry was especially tasty – lots of chicken, all succulent thigh pieces.
