Mini pancake stack with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and maple syrup

Restaurant review. Service was friendly and fast, food was delicious. An all-day menu featuring more than just pancakes. A menu specially for the kids. My Pancakes Aussie Sunrise included two fluffy buttermilk pancakes with whipped butter, fried egg, grilled banana and pineapple and a choice of bacon or sausage. A drizzle of maple syrup and I was in breakfast heaven.

We made breakfast – scrambled eggs with creamed corn, panfried portabello mushrooms and garlic. The mushrooms were homegrown by my sister Juji. The idea for scrambled eggs and creamed corn came from the masterclass with chef Tetsuya Wakuda I attended earlier this year.

Restaurant review – toasted homemade crumpets slathered with butter and honey, smoked salmon eggs Benedict with dill and caper hollandaise, juicy mushrooms on garlic-rubbed ciabatta toast, enormous rashers of bacon – we loved it all and will be back!
