Melbourne Cup lunch 2009

This year’s Melbourne Cup lunch at work featured pizza from Stuzzico and yummy contributions from workmates who volunteered to bring something in. We ordered two full pizzas (1.5 metres long each) – one meat and one vegetarian.

Pizza leftovers for lunch (with garlic bread too!)

A fantastic lunch I ate at work! Leftover pizza, homemade by Brad and Kelsie in their new pizza oven. Jac had been to their house for dinner the night before – I had some work to do and chose to stay home. When Jac came home, she carried with a plate of leftover pizza! So this is my lunch plate at work the next day.

Dominos Chicken Italiano pizza on thin n crispy crust

It had been a tough night of packing, with plenty of perspiration and a few short tempered moments (I can be quite a spitfire, you know! LOL). Cooking dinner was out of the question – enter Dominos pizza! I think it saved the marriage that evening!

Lunch at the Broken Hill Hotel

Parmesan and prosciutto croquettes from the Broken Hill Hotel

On the Sunday after Christmas, Jac and I went out to lunch with our friend M. We went to the Broken Hill Hotel (314 Albany Highway, Victoria Park). It’s a pub Jac’s wanted to check out for some time now – and I’m glad we did.
