Jac and I went out to dinner at Hayashi Japanese restaurant (2/15 Ogilvie Road, Applecross) to celebrate her birthday last month. The food was excellent, but my frustrations from incomplete restaurant service rose again to the surface!

Since we’re on a junk food theme, here’s more! The chicken looked a little burnt (“A little?!” you’ve probably scoffed, looking at the photo!) this time, but it tasted great. Along with the Whopper, the Grilled Chicken Burger is one of my favourite burgers from Hungry Jack’s. I always order one or the other… Anyone else remember the Yumbo?

Chicken Treat Hawaiian Pack, with a quarter chicken, chips and two pineapple rings. I always ask for a leg, which means I’ll get a thigh and drumstick – I’m always very disappointed if I’m given a breast and wing instead, which occasionally happens. I wish wish wish they’d bring back the crumbed bananas…
