I really wanted a SPAM sandwich. Just SPAM, fried to crispy on the outside, with fresh thickly sliced soft white bread. No lettuce, no mayonnaise, nothing else whatsoever. What’s your simple pleasure?
A quick dinner I whipped up for myself one evening I was home alone. Cubes of SPAM, potato and fresh tomato with green beans, stir-fried with a dash of oyster sauce.
Whenever Jac is away, I cook very simple meals for myself, spending as little time as possible in the kitchen and creating as little mess and washing-up as possible. This was one of my dinners on a recent weekend I was home alone – cubes of SPAM, potato and cabbage stir-fry with oyster sauce and garlic, which I ate with rice. This post includes the “rough” recipe.
A familiar dish to regular TFP readers: fried SPAM and egg with baked beans and rice. One of my all-time favourite comfort meals. This time though, something extra – cucumber.
All restaurant write-ups are based on my personal opinions and experiences. We pay for all meals ourselves unless noted otherwise. I am not a restaurant critic.
